Biggest truth about Time Traveling
In March 2003, the FBI arrested a 44-year-old man named Andrew Carlson.
Newspaper headlines were running that this man was unusually lucky.
He made a record-breaking profit in the history of the stock market that no one had ever done before.
He invested $800 and in two weeks, this amount became $350 million.
The FBI suspected that he was running a secret scheme or committing fraud.
After being arrested by the police, Andrew was questioned and he replied that he was a time traveler, meaning a person who traveled from the future and arrived here.
And he claimed that he came from 250 years in the future.
And he knew which stocks would perform how, so he invested in them and achieved extraordinary results.
Here the FBI was also surprised by his statement and the FBI was also sure that he was lying.
Then the FBI decided that they would prove his lie.
When further research was done, it was found that
Before December 2002, there was no record of Carlson in the world.
Even more surprising was that
On April 3, Andrew Carlson was supposed to appear in court for a bail hearing,
But he disappeared, and was never seen again.
Did he really travel from the future to the past?
Is it really possible to travel in time? Or are these all just stories from novels and movies? In today's video, let's try to understand the concept of time travel scientifically.
Do you know the principles of time travel? There was a concept of traveling to the future and the past that has been considered since the early 1900s. But when we are talking about time travel here,
it is either all a joke or nothing at all. In 1895, author H.G. Wells wrote his revolutionary novel
The Time Machine
It was then that the term (time machine) became popular.
A machine that can take you both to the future and the past. Through it, you can travel in time. Although this novel was a fiction, a science fiction novel, many philosophers and physicists were inspired by it.
Not only were serious research papers written on time travel, but many films were also made.

(If we think about it, there can be different
methods of time travel)
1, First, let's try to understand this concept better through science fiction movies.
There can be many types of time travel. The first is one-way travel to the future only. You go to the future and cannot come back. This is one-way time travel.
(Interstellar) is an example of this.
In this, the time traveler goes to the future,
but his family and other people grow old and when he meets them again, some of them are dead.
2, The second method is instant time jump. A person can jump from one time to another instantly through a time machine.
This was shown in the movie Back to the Future and also in the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
3, The third method is when the time traveler stands still and time moves around him. This was shown in the movie Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban when Hermione uses the Time Turner.
4, The fourth method is slow time travel as shown in the 2004 movie Primer where the time traveler sits in a box and the longer he stays in the box, the longer he goes back in time. So if he wants to go back a day, he has to spend a day in the box.
5, The fifth method is to travel through time by traveling at the speed of light. This was shown in the 1979 movie Superman.
In this, Superman flies faster than the speed of light and goes back in time, that is, to the past. The question is, among all these time travel methods, which method is really possible in today's era?
Which method could be possible in real life in the future?
And which is completely unscientific?
And will it never be possible?
Don't be surprised, you may think that all this is nonsense, science fiction and not possible, but don't think so.
Some of them are really possible.
Even today, time travel can generally be of two types, one is traveling to the future and the other is going to the past.
Let's talk about traveling to the future first.
Scientific explanations and theories of traveling to the future come from Albert Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity.
The concept of time dilation was introduced by Einstein. Before Einstein, it was believed that time was constant, whether you were on Earth or Mars or near a black hole. Time was considered to be something that was the same everywhere.
The world's most famous mathematician and physicist, Isaac Newton had said that according to him, no matter how fast you were moving in space or whatever your position was, the flow of time would remain the same.
Albert Einstein was the first to disprove this position.
He said that Newton was wrong, that time is not constant. He claimed that time is like a river. Just as water flows in a river, sometimes it flows slowly, sometimes it flows quickly. Similarly, the flow of time also slows down and sometimes it flows quickly. It depends on the speed and gravity. If the speed and gravity change, then time can actually be slowed down or sped up. This is called time dilation. Just like the pupils of your eyes dilate, when the speed increases, or the gravity on an object increases, then time also dilates.
How did Einstein discover this?
We will research and discuss this further and there is a long explanation behind it (it may take our readers, listeners and viewers) several days to understand.
So we will not discuss it now.
Basically time dilation can occur in two ways.
The first is through speed.
If you are sitting in something that is going very fast, such as an airplane or a spaceship, then time will slow down for you by the same amount compared to someone who is not going that fast.
You can understand it with a simple example.
Suppose, you have two clocks. We keep one clock with us on the ground and send the other clock with you in the plane and the plane circles the earth and returns.
And then we compare the two clocks. Although initially both the clocks were showing the same time, now the clock that went with you in the plane will be a little behind. Both the clocks will not show the same time because one clock was traveling at a higher speed and time was dilated due to its motion.
And all this is not a fairy tale.
In 1971, an experiment was conducted in which atomic clocks were used because the time measurement had to be very accurate and it was seen that the clock that was in the plane was behind the clock on the ground at that time. This experiment is called the Hafele–Keating experiment. This experiment proved Albert Einstein's theory of time dilation to be true.
But this does not mean that time is actually slowing down for the clock, rather it means that time is a relative thing. If we look at the clock on an airplane from the ground, time slows down for us because we are looking at it. Time is slowing down for the person in the airplane and for the clock in the airplane, and for him, time continues to move forward.
For example, suppose we build a rocket that travels at the speed of light and you sit in that rocket, travel at the speed of light for 10 years, and then come back to Earth. The time that has passed on Earth will be 9,000 years. In simple terms, if you want to go to the future, you can do it today. It is scientifically possible. The real problem is that
No such ship has been invented yet that can travel at the speed of light.
But as technology advances, humans will also be able to build spaceships that can fly faster. So it will be possible gradually. Currently, the Russian cosmonaut named Gennady Padalka is given the credit for the longest time travel.
Because he had been in space for the longest time.
And he had been traveling in space for 879 days at a speed of 28,000 kilometers per hour.
In this way, he went 0.02 seconds into the future. Compared to people on Earth, he is 0.02 seconds younger.
At the speed at which we can go far into the future in time, don't be disappointed because there is another way to dilate time, as Einstein said, just like speed through gravity, time also dilates due to gravity. The more gravity there is, the more time dilation will occur.
To understand the time dilation caused by gravity, Einstein gave an example and said that we can imagine space-time as a fabric. Imagine a lattice as shown in the picture below and place balls on it.
You can imagine these balls in planetary bodies.
The heavier the ball, the more this lattice will bend downward. The more mass there is, the more gravity there will be in the planetary body.
The gravity of the Earth is less than that of Jupiter. The gravity of the Sun is greater than that of Jupiter. Similarly, in the fabric of space-time, you see a curved line
which shows the gravity of an object. The closer you get to an object with a greater gravity, the more you will feel that time is slowing down. Time will slow down for you.
In this complex picture, you can see that the steeper the slope, the slower time slows down for you.
You can get a rough idea of this with this visualization.
What this means is that, If you want to travel in time in the future.
Then spend some time near Jupiter.
Or around the sun.
Or near something with even greater gravity,
For example, a black hole,
If you spend some time near a black hole,
Then time will pass very slowly for you.
The same concept was also shown in the movie "Interstellar" if you remember, in it the main character lands on a planet that is close to a black hole and the hour he spends there is equivalent to seven years on Earth.
Such intense time dilation was shown in this movie and this is a scientifically correct concept, it can actually happen.
But can a human being survive that close?
It is not yet known, black holes are said to be the heaviest objects in the universe.
It is also said that light also bends around them.
Earlier it was just a theory but a telescope took the first picture of a black hole and proved it. The Event Horizon Telescope took this picture.
This picture went viral on the internet because it was the first real picture of a black hole and it was reported by a famous news agency.
Well, if we talk about time travel back, I told you two ways to travel to the future in time.
First, traveling at a very high speed and second, getting too close to an object that has a very high gravity and a very large mass (quantity) practically.
For example,
GPS satellites that orbit the Earth at high speed are farther away from us than the Earth's gravity, so we see both types of time dilation in these satellites and scientists have to repeatedly correct the time calculation in these satellites.
Due to this time difference, if they do not correct these clocks, their time will differ from Earth's time, which will cause problems in GPS communication.
Interestingly, there is a third way to travel in time in the future Cryosleep
This has also been shown in many movies.
A movie "Passenger" Those who have seen this movie will remember that the movie showed that people were traveling in a spaceship and they were frozen.
They were in cryosleep.
In such a situation, humans are kept in a state for months and years where they do not age, they continue to sleep. This is science fiction, but in reality, NASA is trying to create a stasis chamber in which astronauts will be kept in a mild cold environment where they will be able to sleep continuously for two weeks, a kind of hibernation.
The idea behind all this is that
When the body is kept cold, the chemical reactions in the body slow down considerably, which saves energy in the body and also slows down aging.
There was a case in Japan where an injured person survived for 24 hours without food or drink when his body went into a kind of hibernation. The person's body temperature was only 22°C. Normally, if the human body gets that cold, it is not possible to survive for a long time. But by chance or by some miracle, not only did this person survive but he also made a full recovery when his body was discovered by someone else. According to medical reports, surprisingly, there was no permanent damage to his body. His organs had slowed down and his brain was also preserved.
Cryosleep is something that may be developed in the future.
Whether it will be by NASA or some other space agency, we will have to wait and see.
But you noticed that all the methods we have told you so far were all about time travel to the future, so what about the past?
Can we actually travel to the past?
I had already told you one method in the James Webb Telescope video.
Currently, we cannot go back in time, but we can definitely see a glimpse of the past because light takes time to reach from one place to another, no matter how fast light is. If we talk about the distance of light years, then some places take years for light to reach. So if we reach a place before the light and then look in the direction from which the light is coming, that light will be from the past. In the same way, we can see the past.
This is about seeing the past.
Can we actually go back in time?
The world-famous physicist Stephen Hawking had a party at Cambridge University. There were balloons and champagne at the party, but the special thing was that everyone was invited, but no one came. Stephen Hawking had this party for time travelers. If a time traveler was coming to our time from the future, he was welcome at this party.
This was a humorous experiment to prove that time travel is not possible. If it were possible, we would see time travelers around us. Where are the people who have been to the past? Why don't we meet them? Theoretically, Einstein's theory of relativity does not say that time travel is impossible. Einstein said that if we put so much gravity on the space-time web that an object falls through the web, it will create a wormhole. We can use this wormhole to travel to the past. It is said that to do this, we would need extremely powerful gravity, which is like a black hole. Perhaps a rotating black hole can create so much gravity that it bends the curvature of space-time back on itself and creates a loop called a CTC (Closed Time-like Curve).
You can try to understand it from their diagram. which you can find on Google easily.
Nobel Prize-winning scientist Kip Thorne believes that small wormholes are constantly forming and disappearing in space, but they are very small, smaller than atoms, and if we want to travel through them, we will have to make them bigger somehow. This will require a lot of energy. Not just normal energy, but also "negative energy". Negative energy is a type of anti-gravity energy that pushes the fabric of space-time, just like like poles of a magnet push each other. Negative energy will also work in the same way. With its help, the wormhole can be kept open for a long time and travel in it will be possible. But where will this negative energy come from?
How will it be created?
This is a thought-provoking thing. For now, all this is just a theory, but since this is the theory of the Nobel Prize-winning scientist Kip Thorne, his position is given importance.
Now you may think that theoretically it might be possible to go back in time but as soon as we talk about implementing it, we face many obstacles. I am talking about "paradoxes"
Like "Grandfather Paradox"
This paradox is like this: Suppose I travel back in time and kill my grandfather. If he died, how was I born?
If I was not born, how did I go back in time and kill him?
How would you explain this?
This is a contradiction or whether I am alive or not is against logic.
Some theories have been given to explain this like "Multiverse Theory".
This theory says that whatever happened once happened in one universe but when you go back in time and change something, a new universe is created, a Multiverse is created, that is, there are many universes
In which different events are happening.
Another paradox related to this is the "Predestination Paradox" which says that when I go to the past and whatever I do will shape my present time. This paradox says that everything is predetermined no matter how much you try to change the past, whatever you do and its result will be the same as your present and if you are confused in understanding all this, let's try to make your understanding process easier through an example.
Suppose, your friend has an accident
and he dies. And you have a time machine and you go to the past and try to stop this accident but what happens? What you do in the past becomes the cause of this accident then you find out that
actually you were the cause of this accident.
This concept has been shown in many movies.
"12 Monkeys"
"Time crimes" (2007)
"The Time Traveler's Wife" (2009)
"Predestination" (2014)
Overall, there are many logical problems when traveling to the past, paradoxes arise, due to which it may never be possible, but travel to the future is still possible today and will become more possible in the future, and getting a glimpse of the past is also possible today, so in a sense, time travel already exists and, as shown in the movie "Interstellar", it was a scientific fact to some extent.
But what about the story of Andrew Carlson?
Which was mentioned at the beginning, according to which he traveled from the future to the past, but Andrew Carlson did not say much about it
And the story of Andrew Carlson that I told at the beginning of the video was actually published in a satirical newspaper
"The Weekly World News"
Later it was published by Yahoo News and many other media outlets also reported this story as fact, but the truth is that it was a satirical fictional story, fake news written in the newspaper that people believed to be true.
Important:
When we were in the tenth grade, we try our best to go ahead and get admission in a good college. We study in college so that
we can get a good job in the future. A person does a good job so that he can be financially independent. Days pass and one day we realize that we have been cheated.
Because since childhood we have been told this lie that we have to live for the future and when we get there, that future has become our present. The happiness that was promised to us keeps showing us dreams of future happiness.
Then we realize that we are a time traveler.
We always postpone today's happiness for future happiness. We start thinking about going to office on Monday from Sunday evening itself, due to which we also ruin our Sunday evening and by becoming time travelers, we have forgotten to feel today's happiness.
We are all time travelers but we are not getting any benefit from this time travel but only loss. Today's video was not just to tell the realities of time travel but to tell the truth that preparing for the future and ruining our present in the hope of a prosperous future are two different things.
Feel the happiness of today.
Stop time.
Tomorrow is a history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
And today is a gift.
That's why it's called a present.
If you learned something from this article
or found something valuable, then be sure to share it with your friends because we have limited time, we can neither save it, nor speed it up, nor slow it down, we can only use it well.
Learn to live in today and make your time valuable and it is very important to convey this message to all of you.
